Much like their video game brethren, anime just doesn't translate well in the world of live action. The most recent attempt by a Hollywood studio was an adaptation of Dragonball, and you saw how well that went. Even with that train wreck I do still hold out hope for the live action version of Blood The Last Vampire. Yahoo Japan has the first five minutes of the movie up for streaming.
The movie opens in Japan this Friday, with Sony Pictures holding the US rights. Perhaps I'm a sucker for that classic school uniform but I'll definitely check out the full movie after that little preview.
