I don't get around to posting music much, but this was just too good to pass up. Yoko Kanno and "The Seatbelts" had a live concert on July 7th of this year in Japan. Vocalists such as Mai Yamane, Steve Conte, Maaya Sakamoto, and Origa were present. Sadly this amazing concert has not been released on either CD or DVD, so we're left with the "bootleg" recording.
The folks over at FFShrine were nice enough to post a great copy of the concert which you can find here. The track "Melody" is actually a twenty four minute block of interloping songs. Mai Yamane and Steve Conte sing an amazing duet for "Rain", from Cowboy Bebop. If you're a Kanno fan definitely check this one out.
