Princess Lover - Episode 4

This episode seemed to crawl by at a snails pace, partially because I'm just not a huge fan of Seika. Aside from Teppei getting his "bike that doesn't tip over" and Mezu's antics, this episode is all about exploring Seika's character. In a way it almost seemed like they were trying to hard in trying to make Seika likable. It turns out that Seika is a famous fashion designer who is having a gallery showing soon and needs a friend from school to tag along for an interview. Mezu is originally picked to accompany her, but he falls ill trying to memorize random facts for their interview.

Teppei becomes interested in why Seika is such a bitch to him most of the time and finds out that it runs deep in the family. Apparently Teppei's grandfather worked night and day only to have Seika's grandfather have an affair with his wife. Teppei's grandfather casts his wife out of the family and the relationship between the two families became toxic. With Mezu sick, Teppei uses the opportunity to try to smooth things over between him and Seika by becoming her interview partner. Of course he knows almost nothing about her, so Seika attacks his foot under the table with her high healed shoes every time he makes a mistake.

Even after having her wear a hole in his foot, Teppei still makes an elegant speech about her to the interviewer. With the interview over, Seika and Teppei enjoy dinner and he gives her the letter. Seika's clothing will be displayed in Arima department stores and stock options will be given as well. This perks Seika up right away and actually makes her somewhat likable if she stayed that way. But to Teppei's displeasure he still has to host a part in one week's time if he wants to get into the Society Club.

Next week looks to be about Silvie while Teppei and Charlotte ride a Ferris wheel.
