According to ANN, the ecchi zombie killing manga has been green-lit for an anime. Highschool of the Dead has been on hiatus as of late, but it's the creation of the artist behind the circle "Digital Accel Works", Shoji Sato. If the anime can keep the feel and designs in the manga, it should be a great ecchi horror show.*Update
It appears that famed studio Madhouse will be doing the animation, for fans of HSOTD, this is a good sign. Then you have the "what?" inducer of the Toradora! character designer doing the designs...
