In the world of anime, much like theatrical films, a piece of music can make or break a scene. Music can make a sorrowful scene more heartfelt, a lighthearted scene more merry, or a tense/action packed seen even more so. Finding myself a mixture of bored and waxing nostalgic, I decided to go through my considerable anime music folder. What did I find, well, songs and bits of music that "made" a series for me musically. What do I mean? I'm talking pieces of music that illicit certain emotions, thoughts, or even scenes from a certain show. Here are some of my personal picks that match the given criteria.
Anime: Honey & Clover
Artist/Song: Hachimitsu by Spitz
Anime: Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories
Artist/Song: Evergreen by Mio
Anime: Gankutsuou(Count of Monte Cristo)
Artist/Song: We Were Lovers by Jean Jacques Burnel
Anime:Cowboy Bebop
Artist/Song: Rain by Steve Conte and Mai Yamane
Those are just some of the many that I could list, but the songs above are currently on my playlist.
