With the added support of a better video card, I have wasted my bandwidth on Blu Ray DVD rips. Sure it's the same as downloading rips of R1 DVD's, but the justification that lets me sleep at night is that I really don't want to dish out for the player, then another 60 for every imported disk. My first experiment was Darker Than Black, and boy was I blown away.
Downloading standard DVD rips, even watching some of my R1 DVD's leaves me a bit disappointed. Sure Blu Ray quality is better, but why reorder a whole library? The only problem now is the size of some rips. You want the original Tenchi OVA in Blu Ray? Fine, just be ready to download 4 gig an episode...
