It would be naive to think that all locations seen in anime are instantly made up by a half baked staff, and thankfully a dutiful Japanese blogger has proven just that. Like anything, animators are a product of their environment. So it piqued my curiosity when a dutiful Japanese blogger took the time to take comparison shots from various areas around Onomichi, Japan. As a fan of Kamichu, it's an interesting footnote on a great show. Just watch out for three middle school girls wandering around the city.
