A series that had seemingly run its course with two season and a movie has it made its way back to the small screen. According to ANN Aquarion will be getting a whole new season! Shoji Kawamori and Satelight will return as the original director and animation studio. The announcement appeared in a teaser accompanying the second Macross Frontier film.
Aquarion's biggest draw for me was the Yoko Kanno music, and outside of that the show was largely forgettable. Hopefully we'll get an opening on the level of Akino's "Sousei no Aquarion".
