It's a sad day for fans of anime music and the Ghost In the Shell franchise. Accomplished songstress Olga Yakovleva, otherwise known as "Origa", has passed away from lung cancer. She quickly became a fan favorite, lending her voice to such tracks as Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex's first opening song, "Inner Universe". Origa also worked with famed composer Yoko Kanno on many projects, where she demonstrated her ability to sing in multiple languages and styles. Origa had a haunting and powerful voice, she will be missed.
