Why do all the "good figures" have to be so much money?
Shiki is something I'd buy in a heartbeat but she's thirty-five dollars. I guess that is cheap compared to most figures I've seen while browsing sites like HLJ(poor Revy at 100 dollars +), but as an inexperienced figure shopper I have no clue when it comes to price ranges. The figures people bought when I used to browse AOD or the daily postings on Anime Nano made me envious, but it's just too much money to be a sustainable hobby for me. Which as a fan of most things anime related is a shame, especially since it seems like I'm totally missing out on that part of the "fandom".
I'd much rather use that money I'd sink into figurines into the rare DVD, manga, or even doujin. I guess I'll have to keep picking and choosing when it comes to figures, my Emma figurine needs someone to talk too.
