Famed doujin maker and original Katawa Shoujo creator Raita, has added another notch to his belt. Speaking at Wonder Festival 2012, Raita revealed that a "Maho Shoujo" Blu Ray will be sold at the upcoming Comiket 82. While it is common for ero manga circles to get hentai adaptations made of their works, Raita's supports a relatively mainstream cast. Shinsuke Yanagi(Railgun) will direct, with Tomoyuki Shitaya(Bakuman, Hatsukoi Limited, Kiss x Sis) handling character designs. The project also boasts an impressive voice cast, with Rie Tanaka, Mamiko Noto, and Ayako Kawasumi.
"Maho Shoujo" is based on a series of original doujin released by Raita. While his designs can be an acquired taste, it's an unique style that looks good animated.
